Images of Heaven

When St. Vladimir sent emissaries to all the known regions of the earth to report about the world’s religions, he was persuaded by those that visited the Orthodox Church of the Hagia Sophia in the city of Constantinople for they reported that they did not know whether they were in heaven or on earth. This historical event repeats itself every time a person walks into an Orthodox church and beholds the glory of God’s Kingdom on earth. This photo album records the beautiful iconographic work by the hand of which will beautify the walls of the temple and reveal in paint what is happening in reality: the Kingdom of Heaven enveloping each person who steps foot inside the church doors.
